I joined the Air Force in May of 1963, and served my first tour of duty in Southeast Asia (SEA) from December of 1965 to December of 1966, and then once again in Vietnam from May of 1969 to May of 1970. I was stationed at Udorn RTAFB, Nha Trang, Phu Cat and Cam Ranh Bay. My job was Aircraft Mechanic, Flight Mechanic and Flight Engineer. After 11-years of active duty, I transferred to the active Reserve, continuing to fly as a Flight Engineer on C-141-B aircraft. I retired honorably on April 15, 1997 with 32-years and 15-days of service.
