I am an American, born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone by my American parents whose forefathers helped build the Panama Canal. I learned Peggy Hill Spanish, and to this very day, I can't carry a decent Spanish conversation. I am embarrassed by that. I stayed in good athletic shape my whole life via daily 5am gym and semi-pro baseball. The USAF provided the opportunity to play softball 4x per week,then tournament some off-duty tournament team traveling.
