I am a new free republican. I was motivated to sign up for the site because of the disappointing election results of '06. I am a father of 4 and do not make much money so I cannot be lumped in with the "rich republicans" or "capitalist pig" labels. Anyone who cares to read this profile information, should know that I am not a Bush automatron.
I, like many Conservatives, can think for myself and look at the facts to determine where I stand on any given issue. I disagree with some things George W. Bush and the Republican party in DC have done, advocated, or simply stood by and allowed. I am a free thinker who is anti-abortion, Christian, pro-Iraq war, anti-gay marriage, pro-civil union between same sex couples, anti-gay parent adoption.
I work in the Health Care Industry for a non-profit health care foundation. My thoughts are my own and I will listen to arguments that oppose my views as long as they do not deteriorate into name-calling and talking points. I am also wary of a debate in which the opposition falls into the cop-out, "he lied". I will offer facts and opinions driven by intelligence for my part.
I sincerely hope I can debate, yet still walk away without hurt feelings on either side. If you start to cry, you are way too emotional and need to look at facts. If you start making character assassinations on me, I will discontinue the argument and seek out someone with a less emotionally focused argument basis.
