Mr. Joseph Reylan B. Viray hails from Pampanga, Philippines. He is a member of the faculty of the College of Arts, Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He teaches philosophy, literature and humanities subjects. His researches include the following topics: Postmodernism, Lyotard's Philosophy, Contemporary period of philosophy (from Kant to MArx), St. Thomas Aquinas, and Ethics. He has published a number of papers and articles about Jean Francois Lyotard. His latest publication is an elementary book in logic he co-authored with collegues from PUP.

MR. Viray is a lifetime member of the INternational Society for Philosophers based in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of 2 national organizations for teachers: Philippine Association of Teachers of Culture and the Arts, and Philippine Association of Teachers of HIstory and Rizal.

Mr. Viray lives in Fairview, Quezon City with his wife Kriztine and daughters Amalia Luisa (totle)and Athena Consuelo Louisse (athens).

His interests include: Theatre Arts, Mountain Climbing, wacthing talk shows on TV, and reading poems and short stories for children.
