I'm a total conservatively thinking Brit who values our alliance with the US over the EU any day. I have lived most of my life with almost every aspect of our independance being eroded by laws passed by bureacrats in Europe. In some ways I am glad of the shameful actions of Germany and France (in particular) because it shows up once against their true colours. France wants only one thing - a single European state, and Chirac wants to play at being its President. In my lifetime the UK has been able to count on the US as its number 1 ally. More so than any neighbour in Europe. 9/11 was not just a terrorist act, it was an event that awoke (some) of the world to the terrors posed by those that form the Axis of Evil. Bush is totally right in his mission to disarm their governments, free their peoples and secure his people and borders.
