The most important things in my life are my God, my family and my country.

I am a child of the King most high who sent His only begotten son to die on the cross to pay the price for my sins. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and has never forsaken me though I have deserved it the many times I have forsaken Him. He is my best friend, my father and my husband. He is the greatest love I have ever known and I can only hope to one day hear Him say well done my good and faithful servant. Though admittedly there are times in my life such as now when I doubt I will ever hear it. Still I hope and my hope comes from Him.

I have the best family in the world while they could probably also win a prize for the most dysfunctional. My son just had a birthday and is at the grand old age of 26. I’m so proud of the fine, young man he has turned out to be despite my many shortcomings as a mother. My sisters are a blast though we do have our fights, we are also always there for each other. I don’t know what I would have done without them when my parents died.

I am so grateful for those who have given so much for my freedom and liberty. I wish I could find the words to say how much their sacrifice means to me, including the sacrifice and support of their families.

Today as I write this, it is Veteran’s Day. I don’t know a lot but I do know that if it were not for our Veterans, I would not have the freedom to sit here and write whatever comes to my mind. If not for them, I would not have so many things that I take for granted. God bless each and every one of them and please help me to never forget or take for granted the many gifts I have been given by the blood that has been spilt on my behalf from both our vets and your Son.
