My Favorite Freep: attending the 3rd annual 'National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson' held in front of RainbowPush HQ in Los Angeles. I first spent a few minutes strolling on the sidewalk opposite the protest, gauging the reaction of passers-by--they were uniformly gawking but self-consciously trying not to be seen gawking...it was hilarious. A few pathetic neer-do-wells slinked on the perimeter, obviously trying to gather the courage for a counter-protest. When they finally walked up the whole crowd turned and videotaped them! It was great. The atmosphere of the protest was very positive and mirthful--there were tons of cops, so nobody felt the least bit afraid. Jesse Lee Peterson gave a great speech.

Random thought: Someday I want a bumper sticker that reads, 'I love hate radio'.
Ode to the RATS:
Those feckless drones, who suffer not
from lack of sophistry
have formed, through Senate juggernaut
a kakistocracy!
