I’ve been a Free Republic lurker for years, the 9/12/2009 protest in Washington and some other recent events have convinced me I’m not alone and it’s time to rise up and speak my mind. I’ve admired the people of FR for years because of their courage to speak up when no one else would.

I grew up in the’60s and ‘70s, those hippie dippy times, my family was conservative and they made sure I understood why they were. So I’ve been making my liberal friends nuts for years, might as well join the fun and do it online.

My standard lines:

What’s the difference between and liberal and a conservative? A liberal wants to spend your money.

What’s the difference between a liberal and a communist? A communist knows what he’s doing.

Then it’s off to the debating races........
