I'm a fairly recent transplant to the north most reaches of the Chicago area, attracted here by job opportunity, certainly not by the Blue politics of the area. It's a culture shock to move from an area where my conservative views are the norm, to where I hear them bashed from day to day in the office.

Love the city environment though, because I love the music and shows that I could rarely see back home.
