Hello,

I am a happily married 42-year-old mother of four wonderful children from 5 to 10 years old. I worked in the FL tourism industry for close to 20 years. I am a stay at home self-employed mom. My husband Brian and I breed and race FL-Bred Thoroughbreds. This has been my lifelong dream and we are having a great time going to Gulfstream and Calder race tracks watching the foals that we literally brought into this world giving their all to hopefully win a race for us! We also have been showing and breeding Champion Doberman Pinschers since the late 1980's. My husband is a self employed software and hardware programmer/engineer.

My life and my outlook on life were totally changed on 911. For the first time I felt really effected by the outside world. I went into a depression and grieved for several months. While I was functional I was not happy. This is when I found Freerepublic. I have always been a registered Republican and descend from a long line of active Republicans. I became a news junkie. It is only recently that I don't live in constant fear of another terrorist attack. Maybe I have just adjusted to the threat. I do know that I am total supporter of the Bush dynasty. President Bush and his team give me great comfort and I think Laura is the very best first lady we have ever had. I truly feel our government is doing everything possible to protect US and to stimulate the economy to return our lives to a more normal feeling.

I am still amazed by freerepublic and its amazing contributors. The news and commentary have really helped me to wade through my confusion. My friends and associates always ask me how I knew about something before it hits the mainstream news. I must admit I have never been so educated on current events before. I guess some good comes out of the dark.
