I've actually been here since 1998, and am on my third or fourth monicker.

Moving to Roanoke VA in June 2021 only because family is there. I don’t know any FReepers here in NY and hope to connect with FReepers in Virginia. Update - Stardate Dec 3, 2024 So, here we are, just outside of Roanoke Va. Moved south June through September of 2021. This area was pretty swinging before covid hit, but lost a lot of flavor since then. As for me, mom to 2, grandma to 3. Ultra MAGA Conservative chick here. So much so I don't call myself Republican. In Virginia we register to vote but there is no party affiliation. Primaries are open, but you can only vote in one or the other. I consider myself evangelical Christian. Grew up Catholic for 9 years, officially abandoned that church somewhere around 1984. A church home here in Virginia would be so wonderful to have. Looking for one without a rock concert on Sunday morning is a daunting task. I hope to one day attend a Gathering of Freepers. I would even plan one if I knew any of you :) On facebook the majority of my friends are FReeps, but I don't know who you are. My interests are politics, dogs, rehabbing houses, reading anything, old movies, gardening, cooking, great music of any kind, finding uses for dog hair, being a grandma, prayer every time I think of it, figuring out how we'll live in retirement.
