I became a conservative in my 20's while living in DC when Regan announced he was running for president. Up til that point I had been a hard core liberal (encouraged as a teen by Lennon and songs about how cool Angela Daivs was), but I matured, endured the Carter years, and came to realize that liberal ideology is pure fantasy.
