My real name is George Ruhmann. I have been involved in Computer Science for 40 years or so. I am recently a student of the game of golf.

I do not remember exactly when I started reading (lurking) Free Republic. It was a year or so before my "since" date of 31JUL98.

I relish the pace of FR. It is very fast, often ahead of the "news". I particularly enjoyed the "un-newsworthy" details of Former President William Jefferson Clinton (formality inserted for the preservation of respect for the office, not the man).

To date, I haven't seen a post that needed a contribution from me. So, I'll continue to read, enjoy, and most likely remain silent.
