European conservatives are no different than labour, when it comes to economic issues. They are all socialist parties. There is nobody of any note that argues against socialism.
John Locke is dead and buried in concrete with a metal fence around his grave to ensure he doesn’t rise again.
The only issue of disagreement between the parties is whether or not their countries should become Republics or stay Constitutional monarchies.
I don’t think it’s all about voting altogether. As in America, there is a movement about called “post-colonialism” that preaches that western civilization was and is irredeemably evil. It’s psychotic and idiotic, but it has a lot of currency on both sides of the pond. It leads to cultural decline of the very worst sort, and even while The Globe is now rebuilt and staging Shakespearean plays, and Winston Churchill’s name is still widely revered, Johnny Rotten’s vehemently Jeremiad lyrics still resonate and set the tone. Islamism advances, Tommy Robinson is continually persecuted, and teenage working-class girls continue to be groomed for prostitution by gangs of foreigners.
A Jewish comedian twigs how bad it is becoming and leaves for a more vibrant, dynamic society. Monty Python and Benny Hill were comedians, too, and they never left.
I’ve never been to England, but as a sometimes writer and all-the-time self-educated scholar, I greatly appreciate English literature, history and culture, and would definitely prefer that someone would step forward and bring about a renaissance reasserting Britain’s rightful place, at least within its own borders. The “finest hour” might never come again, but the “another thousand years” are just beginning.
