Wall Street Journal ^ | May 6, 2024 | Nancy A. Youssef, Jared Malsin

Biden administration has held up delivery of Joint Direct Attack Munitions as it pressures its ally not to go into Rafah.

The Biden administration has delayed the sale of thousands of precision weapons to Israel, raising questions about whether the U.S. is deliberating slowing the delivery of weapons to its top Middle East ally amid growing domestic political pressure.

I’m willing to bet that our supposed “adults in charge” have been sending weapons and ammo to Hamas.
If so, I hope they get caught out there.

Agree!

In the meantime in Rafah:

(From Amir Tsarfati)

DF fighters are currently working in 2 main efforts in the Rafah area: 1. Controlling the eastern region which is the closest to Israel. 2. Controlling the Rafah crossing which is the main oxygen of Hamas above the ground

Once we seize control of the Philadelphi corridor we will have to uncover the unimaginable web of tunnels under the ground! ------------ So far:

20 terrorists were eliminated

A car bomb was neutralized

Three tunnels were located

No casualties to our forces. ---------------------- (And very important:)

An important fact to note:

The ground operation in Rafah has begun, there is no disputing that.

There are significant achievements in the field - the control of the Rafah crossing, there is no dispute about that either.

In spite of all this and despite explicit and public promises from senior Hamas officials that action in Rafah will cause the negotiations to stop - Hamas has not yet announced the suspension of talks for a deal .

This is an important fact. The military pressure serves the Israeli negotiator. Negotiations under fire. This is how negotiations are done in the Middle East. The importance here is also in visibility. Israel takes initiative and action and does not play into the hands of Hamas, in negotiations from a position of weakness.

The Biden Administration is also pushing the ICJ to go after Israel.

“US delays shipments” (by 20 minutes once).

The US does not sell the bombs to Israel, it sells the precision guided JDAM kits to install on the bombs Israel already has.

These US supplied JDAM kits have allowed Israel to deploy bombs with the precision needed to to attack Hamas terrorists using their well documented strategy of using Gaza civilians as human shields

Biden can't stop Israel from attacking Hamas with this block, but he can cause much worse Gaza civilian casualties, Hamas casualties and possibly more casualties of Israeli troops by withholding the JDAM kits.

Dirty dealing by the Dems.

Past Dems would roll over in their graves over betrayal of our only ally in the Middle East.

Hope Biden doesn’t get the American Muslim votes he groveled for and betrayed Israel for.

Those two items seems to tally; the ICJ and withholding the JDAM kits. If Israel uses the same ammunition but with less precision more civilians will be injured/killed and the Biden administration will have cover to allow the ICJ to act against Israel.

The cost will be more civilian victims but anything to save Hamas....

Raising WHAT questions? Whether the writer’s IQ is below that of a retarded chimp? Of course it is deliberate, and of course it is because Team Ice Cream Grandpa needs the votes of terrorist Democrats.

Rafah is Hamas last stand. So far the Israeli troops have been taking things very careful and slow.

This has resulted in very low casualties for both the IDF and Gaza civilians.

Total IDF KIA in the Gaza ground action are around 250 compared to 320 on October 7 alone.

Gaza civilian casualties so far have been remarkably low as well.

Biden's pressure may force the IDF to move faster and with less care in Rafah which may case more IDF and civilian casualties

On the other hand, things may work out better than expected.

Hamas fighters on Rafah are the ones who ran from the IDF rather than fight and die in place. These rats are running out of sinking ship to run and hide in so after 6 months of getting their asses kicked they may just have had enough and be willing to surrender.

And maybe the good civilians in Rafah have been watching the Gaza being demolished town by town and would rather turn on Hamas rather than see everything they have destroyed.

This would require that sanity and rationality prevail but sanity and rationality is in very short supply these days.

The Saudis are also our allies. We sell them lots of jets and other weaponry. We also helped sneak some of them out of the US after 911.

I agree. This has been urban warfare for the ages. The lowest relative civilian casualty count ever and rather low casualties for the Israelis as well. This will of course count for nothing in the eyes of the “international community”.

One can only hope that you are right when it comes to the remaining Hamas terrorists and the civilians in Rafah. However, as you stated, sanity and rationality is in very short supply, especially in the Middle East outside Israel I would add.

[it sells the precision guided JDAM kits]

Yes, less-precise likely means more collateral damage to civilians

We have other allies there: Saudi Arabia and Jordan for example.

In the long term, Israel needs to become completely self-sufficient in arms. It used to be that there was continuity between US administrations' support of Israel, but now Biden and the his gauleiters and Jew-haters have shown that assumption is no longer true.

There’s an outright maliciousness to the PedoJoe administration towards our actual allies and our own country while simultaneously kissing up to countries and factions who hate us or want to use us.

Yup.
And the price of cooperating with us, well, Qadaffi found that out which was the entire point of why Brak Ubama did that - to send a message to other mideast leaders to not cooperate with us.
