Well there are a billion people in India so I don’t think we
can establish a “cultural norm” from these actions, and recently while in Nevada on holiday I saw a news item about two white Americans (in Las Vegas area) who were arrested for keeping their autistic kid chained up in a basement for three years, so I didn’t then conclude this was how Americans or even residents of Clark County treat their kids, just that these were two losers, they could have lived anywhere. They looked like low IQ inbred types, same look as I’ve seen in my own part of the world when for example some cretin killed his children.

All cultures have a few losers. Some have more than a few. I won’t name names (partly because I can’t spell them, boo-boo). And I don’t believe cultures are equal, they are what they are, and it’s pointless to try to compare them. Also these cultural “norms” are not static over generations, they can change considerably. Compare today’s Germany with the third reich for example. Or Japan today and during WW-II.

The reason such an incident doesn’t happen in America is that we don’t have crocodile infested rivers, but we do have subway trains to throw people under.
