Ron should be able to read the writing on the wall and pack it in. He has been a great governor, but is a poor campaigner.
For now, he should fold up his tent, endorse Trump, return to Florida, and run again when the time is right.

I believe it was Giuliani who waited until Florida to start his campaign for president. By then voters had forgotten he was still running and that was the end.
