I am not endorsing a RFK pick, but if Trump were to pick him the heads of the Republican establishment would explode. They would be completely shut out of the ticket.
Trump doesn't need a VP who would increase his risk of being assassinated, as having a liberal VP would. Presidents often pick running mates who are not viewed by their opponents as someone desirable to have as President--Nixon had Agnew (and might not have had to resign if Agnew had not been forced out), Obama had Biden, and Biden has Kamala.
Tell me, why did Trump pick so many back-stabbing “deep state” types in his first administration? Has he learned his lesion?
