I read in a book a long time ago that, God, the Creator made mankind in His own Image and likeness, and He saw that it was good. He also made the beasts of the Earth, the birds in the air, the fowl. The creatures who crawl or slither. All of these species here have adapted or underwent an evolution to arrive at where we are today. Darwin can hypothesize all he wants, but God made us and this place and hopefully we don’t mess it up too bad.
What is God’s ‘image and likeness’? What is meant by that? Does God have two legs, arms, eyes, two of all the ‘usuals’?
It seems to me that ‘likeness’ in this sense refers to something immaterial; and it still doesn’t preclude evolutionary processes.
adaptation (husbandry, artificial or natural selection) alone is not sufficient to drive or demonstrate Darwinian evolution via the scientific method. that requires a mechanism for speciation, and a demonstration of true speciation in nature. despite the claims of it’s practitioners, neither has been demonstrated via scientific method in any sort of reproducible experiment, or even via conclusive historical or philosophical methods (non-scientific), for that matter.
All of these species here have adapted or underwent an evolution to arrive at where we are today.
Evolution tends to imply that there is new genetic information that just happens.
There is some evidence that so called junk dna is really an incredible back up system of all the genetic information that was “lost.”
We are losing some of God’s genetic information if anything.
