Heinlein was a wonderful writer. Unfortunately, he used his talents to contribute to the cultural rot.
He was blatantly anti-Christian.
He pushed the "sexual revolution" for all it was worth. He toyed with incest, pedophilia, and homosexuality.
He was a staunch atheist for most of his life, then became a deist. I hope he found Jesus before he died.
