Elon Musk’s Tesla, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has slashed even more workers from the payroll following weeks of massive layoffs, leaving employees on edge and seeking closure.
Business Insider reports that Tesla has been conducting a series of layoffs over the past four weeks. The latest round of cuts, which took place on Sunday night, has left employees uncertain about their future with the company. According to Business Insider, four workers reported that their managers notified them of additional cuts to their teams on Monday morning, while several Tesla workers took to LinkedIn to share their experiences of receiving layoff notices over the weekend.

Please alllow me to clarify your murky future:
EVs were rushed to market by heavy government promotion.
EVs were (are) not ready for the market.
They will be, probably, but that day is not today.
The forces of the marketplace can not be fooled.
You will probably survice doing something else.

Attempting to skim off $56 billion in corporate profits in the form of a ‘bonus’ wasn’t his best move.
This was bound to happen.
Once, Teslas was the only game in town, but now, every mfr has an electric vehicle on the lot.
Many, many choices out there besides Tesla.....................
EVs had dramatic sales jumps in the last 10 or so years. But, the market available for EVs was saturated, meaning that, those wanting EVs were few and for EVs to continue selling in big numbers. new EV purchasers had to be found, but, they didn’t show. The ‘great number’ of touted EV sales in the last few years, will not be repeated, unless those same EV purchasers decide that they need more of the same, but, that’s very doubtful. In fact, the first-time buyers will not get another EV and will get back to ICE vehicles.
Only governments and environmental wackos want the EV hype to continue, but, reality has set in, and EVs sales will tank and the number of EVs on the road will dwindle over time.
Tesla and other EV makers will have to tell the governments pushing EVs, to take a hike.

Time for Tesla to add Gas vehicles to their repetoire.

The energy density of batteries is almost two orders of magnitude lower than gasoline or diesel.
(that’s the energy density of the electrochemical process. When those EV batteries catch on fire, then they win on “energy density”)

‘Fossil’ fuels, which have provided power for centuries: out. Hydroelectric (save the salmon!!) out. Nuclear (are you out of your mind??!!; definitely out. Even the limited amount of geothermal apparently disturbs some endangered critter or another. What’s left?

IMHO, there may be some short-term periods where TSLA gets oversold, and there may be a short-term bargain available.
But longer term, as long as Democrats are in power, the LONG knives will be out for TSLA.
If Trump manages to win in November, then I would buy TSLA hand over fist.
Democrat LONG KNIVES are out for TESLA AND everything that is successful and/or makes normal people happy.
My big mistake with Obama was that I couldn't believe that he would fail completely at his mission to destroy America.
