m(odified)rna is not a scientific term. mRNA, scientifically, is an abbreviation for "messenger RiboNucleicAcid."

The notion that any scientist would use "mRNA" to refer to modified RNA is completely false. We don't say that.

RNA has a lot of different functions and has a lot of names depending on the function. Messenger RNA (mRNA) very specifically refers to an RNA which carries a copy of a gene to the ribosome in order to make the protein encoded in that gene. Other types of RNA include siRNA, snRNA, mtRNA, tRNA, rRNA, etc. Any kind of RNA can be and is modified through natural processes. Thus, the term "m(odified)rna" is not only not a scientific term, it is actually meaningless. The vaccine mRNA is modified to increase its stability using completely natural enzymes. Without those completely natural modifications, it would not last long enough after injection to even reach cells. The immune system destroys RNA pretty rapidly.
