Dr. Stolinsky is a medical oncologist, now retired after 25 years of patient care, teaching and research. He spent most of this time at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, so he has some idea of what government-run health care is like. He served three years in the U.S. Army Reserve, and had the privilege of coming into contact with veterans of World War II and Korea. Perhaps a bit of their patriotism and honor rubbed off on him.
