In August of 1968 I joined the United States Marine Corps and served 13 Months in the "Republic of Vietnam" as a "Field Artillery Batteryman". I was a gunner on both the "4-duce Mortor" and the "155 towed Howitzer".

I served in the following units of the 1st Marine Division:

Whiskey Battery, 1st Battalion, 13th Marines at "los Banos" appox. 20 Miles north of Da Nang in the Hy Von Pass.

And

Whiskey Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines at An Hoa, also North of Da Nang. 155 Towed Howitzer.
