I have made it my mission to try and explain insurance and risk management in plain language. I have written on health care issues, tort liability and my new book Hide! Here Comes the Insurance Guy - A Practical Guide to Understanding Business Insurance and Risk Management(iUniverse 2006; available online at all major booksellers) uses humor to explain how you can minimize your insurance costs by learning how the game is played and what the rules are. A.M. Best, which rates insurance companies, gave it a great review (BestWeek, November 13, 2006) and Hide! has been embraced by the insurance industry. Although critical of the industry, it's fair, and I poke a little fun at this rather stoic industry as well as myself in the process. Who knew insurance could be so much fun?
