I’m a crusty old reclusive troll -— a curmudgeon, if you will, a lifelong fanatical Conservative, and Rebel. And I’m a practising Pagan. I do reverence to all goddesses and gods, even though I don’t know all their names. I live alone in the Deep Piney Woods of Deep East Texas, on the edge of the Big Thicket, with a dog, two cats, a rifle, two shotguns, a .380 calibre automatic, and a computer.

I’m older than dirt, and I’m stubborn and pig-headed, but not narrow-minded. I’ll listen to anyone until he shows me that I shouldn’t, but I do not suffer fools gladly. Up to a point, I can tolerate stupidity, but not ignorance. I’m vengeful and judgmental, but I don’t judge people -— I judge their actions.

I try to incorporate into my daily life the famous saying from The Shootist: “I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, I won’t be lied to, and I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do those things to other people, and I require the same of them.”

I offer three gems of advice to any and all, distilled from life experience of nearly eighty years:
See what you look at.
Say what you mean.
Always ask the Right Questions.
