AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL

Oh beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain.
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

Oh beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress.
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness.
America! America!
God mend think ev’ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law.

Oh beautiful for heroes proved
in liberating strife
Who more than self their country loved,
and mercy more than life
America! America! May god thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness, And ev'ry gain divine

Oh beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years.
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.
America! America! God shed his grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

SOME GAVE ALL

I knew a man,_ called him San-dy Cane.
Few folks e-ven knew his name.
But a he-ro, yes__was__he.
Left a boy,__came back a man.
Still man-y just don't un-der-stand
a-bout the rea-sons we__ are free.

I can't for-get the look in his eyes
or the tears___he cried,
as he said these words__to_ me.

All gave some___ and some gave all.
Some stood through__for the red, white and blue,
and some___had to fall.

And if you ev-er think of me,__think of all
your lib-er-ties,__and re-call, some gave all.

Now, San-dy Cane__is no lon-ger here,
but his__words are oh, so dear
as they ech-o through-out our__land.
For all his friends who gave us all,
who stood the ground and took the fall,
to help their fel-low man.

Love your coun-try and live with pride
and don't for-get those who died.
A-mer-i-ca, can't__you__see.

All gave some___ and some gave all.
Some stood through__for the red, white and blue,
and some___had to fall.

And if you ev-er think of me,__think of all
your lib-er-ties,__and re-call, yes re-call,
some gave all.
Some gave all.

TAPS

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills,
From the sky;
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh.

Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gens the sky,
Gleaming bright,
From afar, drawing nigh,
Falls the night.
