Welcome to my page. I am a native Iowan. Have lived in Ohio before and now again, Tennessee, Nebraska & Northern Ireland. I am retired from an engineering/technical/sales career in the rubber industry, and now pretend to be a farmer - having a small piece of land with horses and beefalo (bovine/bison hybrid).

We also have a Healing Center here - a place 'Where Miracles Happen'. Our Healing Power Teams bring a special God-touch into the lives of many who visit. We also have other healing modalities available. (Freep mail me if you want more info.)

I have been a conservative for as long as I can remember - my dad taught me that big government was bad, and I still believe that. He told me about FDR and Henry Wallace, his Secy of Agriculture poisoning potatoes and killing baby pigs to support farm prices, and all the while people in some places were starving (remember, we were in the middle of the Great Depression when they did that). I have voted for President in every election beginning in 1960. Two friends and I got in trouble and had to explain ourselves to the vice principal in high school because we skipped school to watch Eisenhower's inaugeration in January, 1953. That was a momentous occasion - the first time in our life to that point that we were about to experience the profound joy of having a Republican President. I have not always voted for the winner in the presidential elections, but I have always voted for the man who would have been the best President - and always the more conservative of the candidates.

I remember FDR's fireside chats, and I remember the battles in the Pacific. Ernie Pyle was a hero - I guess he was an earlier era's embedded reporter. I remember Iwo Jima, Normandy, and the bombing of Heroshima and Nagasaki. The celebrations that marked the end of the war in Europe, and later the end of the war in the Pacific are etched in my memory.

My people were here when we were yet a British colony. As you might surmise from my screen name, my great, great, great, great grandfather helped dump tea. Some two dozen or so relatives with my surname fought in the Revolutionary War.
