I believe I’ve been conservative since I began earning my own living and taking what was left of what I earned to the bank. I, like most Americans, work hard for what I earn. What I have earned is not because I am “fortunate” or have profited from those “less fortunate”, but a result of my decisions (not always good ones), my hard work and my acquisition of knowledge and skills. I have never had any opportunity available to me that was not also available to any citizen of this great nation.

I believe if you compromise on principal to get along or further an agenda, then it was never really a principal with you to begin with. For if it was, what would you be willing to compromise next?
