I thought stolen valor was no longer a crime?

I know a guy on the internet that has pretended to be a decorated Marine, and he says awful things about the USA and is a muslim sympathizer, lies about being in the m/e etc.

Worse yet, when I called him out, the internet site had me banned... for “stolen valor bullshit”

This POS was committing fraud and other assorted lies that got her/him/it personal gain.
