I stopped at a local cemetery and at the grave site of a American pilot, Captain Michael Scott Speicher, a veteran of the (Golf war of Iraq); he was the first pilot shot down and his remains were found in the Iraq about 18 years later. I sing A-Capella the hymn, Down At The Cross. At the beginning and end of this video a flock of Canadian Geese stopped to rest and eat.

I am sure we can be friends, though we may talk a little different. I am from the great state of New York, which shares some four or five hundred miles of border with our neighbor, Canada. In my first contacts with our friendly Canadian acquaintances my rural ignorance was corrected, for there are many Canadian geese: the cackling goose, the Brant goose, the white goose, the snow goose and the . . . Canada goose! (click here) (so the ornithologists say) --

I now live in Delaware, where the Canada geese love our corn and beans so much that they never go any farther north. So they are Delawarean geese! Actually I don't think any of them would know what a maple leaf looks like.

(Just pullin' your Doodle, FRiend Yank!)
