With you on that. I could have done without some of the character building scenes, but all in all, a decent movie. Will prob re-watch when it comes out on DVD.

I just rented it on blue ray. I was blown away. My wife will not watch violent movies but she did this one (we are both WWII “buffs”). She loved it - the relationships and personal stuff was well developed.

And the “Thousand plane raid” brief scene was something to behold.
