I kind of agree with you, but before 9/11 the infantryman wasn’t constantly at war. The problem with an approach like that is that this admin would be in charge of the administration. Combat arms is different but the current clowns wouldn’t know the diff between a CA guy and a plastic army man.
I wasn’t referring to anyone being constantly at war, my point was the lifestyle, being in combat arms, and Airborne, Ranger, etc, is a tough life that breaks you down and causes injuries, the life of an athlete.
A secretary can work into her 60s, that isn’t the working lifespan of the warrior class and she is living a normal career life, and going home at night to cable TV and family, and her cats, and eating salads and bean sprouts.
