KEYWORDS:
To all of my Marine Corps brothers,

I just spoke to a fellow marine I attended boot camp with 37 years ago, it was by luck and was very humbling.

We talked on the phone for an hour and both argeed to try to reach out to others who served with us, and maybe some day see each other again.

If any Marine who who was assigned to Platoon 1045 May 1971 MCRD San Diego, or Oscar Co ITR, Camp Pendelton July of 1971, it would be great to here from you.

Thank you all for your contributions and sacrifices to our country.

Semper Fi, Qwic! I wasn’t in either of your outfits but went through Field Med. School at Camp Pendleton before deployment to RVN in 1969.

Platoon 2006, Jan 05, 1971. Mike Company (I think) at ITR.
Then back home to reserve unit. Finished college, which would not have happened without the USMC and new goals.

My new goal was to become an officer of Marines. I spent years years on active duty, then as a Major in the USMCR, mobilized for Desert Storm.

After all these years, I still miss it. Wear my dog tags daily, as long as our troops are fighting.

I may have been in your unit. I have been looking for graduation photos and such for years with no luck. I lost all of my memorables in Hurricane Katrina. If you have a grad book, would you mind and see if I am in it. My name is David Dear. Thanks. I seem to remember DI Sgt. Stoner and Sgt. Campbell, I think the senior DI was Ssgt Mcmannus. I believe ITR is where I met Gsgt Madden if you know that name too. Thanks again.
