Actor and comedian Russell Brand announced Friday that he is going to be baptized this weekend, the culmination of his months-long public wrestling with the tenets of Christianity.
"This Sunday, I'm taking the plunge," Brand, 48, said in a video he posted to X. "I'm getting baptized."

I think the same about him. Sometimes I disagree, but he is sincere and he is a smart guy.
He does seem honest about, and remorseful, over his past behaviors. He has a wife and kids now that he loves very much.
I know the old Russell Brand. He wasn’t a nice guy and has admitted to that. I also know that Jesus forgave sinners who came to him.
Unlike a few mere mortals here who pass judgement and think they know more than Jesus. They have no forgiveness in their hearts and do not believe in redemption through Christ.

In 1 Peter 3, Noah’s ark is referred to as a type of baptism, and Peter writes, “In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (1 Pet. 3:20-21).
And then there's this problem of 1 Pt 3, which can't be any more clear: "baptism now saves you".
Beware of religions that make things up.
Brand could have claimed half of the $40 million Perry earned while they were married, but he said her success and money had nothing to do with him, and he wanted nothing.

As a mere mortal I don’t have a problem passing judgement on scum and damn sure have no forgiveness. I’m good with that.. that’s kinda like every judge passing sentence on someone.
Anyone who’s followed his podcast will not be surprised. He has become increasingly conservative and Christian in his outlook over the last several years. That’s why YouTube demonetized him. This isn’t a sudden Kanye type conversion.
Baptism is not salvation. Asking for Salvatoin and believing is Salvation. Baptism is just an sign of your belief.

It was the same for me. My first 28 years was as a Calvinist. IIRC, Acts 2:38 was never read from the pulpit, yet is instuction to EVERY ONE. Neither was John 3:8, which shows Jesus declaring a supernatural sign for Spirit birth, and that it happens to EVERY ONE that is born of the Spirit.
Those two verses are part of the many that give witness to biblical conversion details, but are commonly ignored.
Corrupt minds use the MSM to effectively keep people from hearing the whole truth on many matters, while making it sound like that is not at all the case.

Good on Russell Brand and I pray that God will bless him with increasing understanding and increase his voice to a much wider audience.
