The Sixth forum of the “Laudato Si’ Communities” was held in Verona, Italy, earlier this month. This is a series of meetings devoted to propagating Pope Francis’ views on what is called “the climate emergency.”
This latest affair was called “Doubling the Commitment.” This was a reference to Francis’ new exhortation, Laudate Deum, in which he warns us that the end is near, both for “our suffering planet” and, by extension, for us.
He struck the same note in his opening video message to the Verona meeting, warning that it’s “a very difficult time” and that “within 30 years the world will be unlivable.”
The “apocalypse now” message is by now drearily familiar, but I was still surprised by the messianic zeal with which it is being proposed by leaders within the Catholic Church.
Take Bishop Domenico Pompili, who hosted the event. He opened the forum by emphasizing that simply transitioning to policies that protect the planet is not enough. What is needed, he said, is an ecological “conversion,” a striving to create a planetary “utopia.”

Masonic Leader ... Pope Francis?
Since at least 1962, Catholics have not been in control of the Catholic church.

Lots of Masons are Catholic.
And lots of Catholics are Masons.
Would getting rid of 1.4 billion Muslims help?
Stick to bricks masons!
Catholics need a new Pope for sure, probably a less santanic one. Just my opinion.
So the article says that the “Club of Rome” is a Masonic lodge. Nothing on their webpage seems to indicate that, but it should be easy enough to verify if it is chartered by the Grand Orient of Italy or the Regular Grand Lodge of Italy. Oh... they didn’t? Oh, and there are female members on their webpage? So it’s just a “Masonic” group because... the article says so? LOL.
I don’t think the church will be any more successful in creating a utopian society or world any better that rest of the folks who tried. We are back to “the right person has not tried it yet” BS of Socialism. Any utopia that was close was only for the leader and the rest of the people suffered (authoritarianism/regency), think of the earlier Louis of France, the Sun King or the sultan of Brunei today.
Catholics we’re not allowed to become masons, not that could not, but the church did not want any secrets between the church and the individual. that was what the knights of Columbus was for a catholic masonry, at least that I was what I was told by my dad. I could be wrong as I was not part of either group.
Christ said his Kingdom is not of this world. The true purpose of the church is not to create an earthly utopia but to prepare us for eternity with God! Heaven and Earth are passing away!

I expect this writer to next say that the Knights of Columbus is a drug cartel and the Shriner’s Childrens Hospitols sell body parts.
The writer has no credibility!
I agree with you.
Heh, and I’m getting castigated on another thread for saying that there are problems endemic in Catholicism that allowed Vatican 2 and Pope Francis to be established in Catholics.
Catholics, being in denial as they are, see those things as the cause of the problems, instead of a symptoms of the rot that has been going on for a long time.
Neither V2 nor Francis would have gone anywhere if it weren’t for the Catholic hierarchy approving them, which means the problems are well entrenched in the hierarchy.
Free Masonry is demonic.
