Why Do Christians Especially Anticipate the Feast of Trumpets?

Are you prepared for the sudden disappearance of millions of Christians from planet Earth?

Believe it or not, the Feast of Trumpets among evangelical circles has increasingly become a high watch time for the appearing of Jesus in the clouds to collect his followers with the sound of the trumpet of God. This imminent event is called “the day or hour that no man knows.”

The Feast of Trumpets is the only ambiguous date among the LORD’s seven appointed moedim due to the necessity of having to sight the new moon. Concerning his Second Coming, Jesus stated in Matthew 24:36, “But of that day and hour no man knows, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Perhaps it’s no coincidence that we can’t know the precise day and hour of the Feast of Trumpets and the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashana) because it’s the one Levitical festival calculated by the sighting of the new moon on the month of Tishrei.

Furthermore, in Leviticus 23: 24, the Feast of Trumpets was first called Zichron Teruah, meaning a Memorial of Trumpet Blasts, and in Numbers 29:1, it is called Yom Teruah, meaning the Day of the Shout or the Day of the Trumpet Blast.

I think it’s a mistake to believe that God will remove His people from earth. I think we will go through whatever we will go through. Our salvation is assured, but not our comfort.

Everybody is responsible for believing what they deem they must. That is your choice and others have differences of opinions as to how, when, why, etc.

Jesus returning for us is our Blessed Hope (Titus 2:13)

I’ve laid out verse after verse hundreds of times here on FR as to why God will not allow His Children go through His Wrath.

Go back to Noah
Go back to Abraham
Go back to Lot
Go back to Israel in Egypt

Persecution and Wrath are not the same.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

I am watching again Ken Johnson’s “GAD 14 rapture” youtube.

“and the dead in Christ shall rise first”

So Episcopalians go to Heaven first?

>>> I think it’s a mistake to believe that God will remove His people from earth.

Does God not say that He who now restraineth will do so until He is removed? It is HIS departure that looses Satan at the beginning of Tribulation.

YES!... God is talking about His Holy Spirit... but WHERE is His Holy Spirit now?

Does He not indwell you?

Are you NOT the temple of God?

Have you ever considered (as a born again Christian) what it would be like if God’s Spirit were to actually LEAVE you???

Would you think the same way?... Discern?... LOVE???

How can those who are considered to be the Bride of Christ and the Temple of God be then DESTROYED by God in His Wrath???

I think the reason so many Christians can be fooled into believing they will be going through the Tribulation is because they DON’T UNDERSTAND what is going to be happening then!

Or not......

Revelation 3:10

10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

I disagree as at that point God will have left Satan to do his work on Earth and any Saved during this time will almost immediately pay with their life..

A neutron bomb attack will be blamed for the disappearance of so many people... it is the only way government can explain it.

“the Feast of Trumpets among evangelical circles has increasingly become a high watch time for the appearing of Jesus in the clouds”

That’s one big clue that it’s probably not going to happen then. When Jesus comes, it’s more likely that nobody will be expecting it.

"and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"

My beloved son, Benjamin, who died on June 28, 2019 will exchange the corruptible body that was buried into an incorruptible body at that very moment! Oh what joy! My tears of sorrow will become tears of unspeakable joy. Thank you my Lord.

Yep, it’s something invented to make the fair weather believers comfortable.

Real believers know that Jesus promised trials and tribulation for those who follow him, whether we survive until the end days or not.

I think it’s a mistake to believe that God will remove His people from earth.

I think it’s a mistake to believe that God will pour His wrath upon His own people. There's a difference between worldly persecution, and enduring God's wrath.

But hey--it's not a salvation issue, so I won't argue the point.

That is very succinct and well stated. Thank you.

Some people seem to not want to see the difference. I don't get why they are so eager to want themselves and everyone else to go through the horrors of the Great Tribulation.

I know it’s almost pointless as people believe whatever it is they want to believe about this. The timeline is obscured for now but will become clear as Daniel was told. Christians sometimes confuse two Greek words for tribulation and wrath. There are believers today who are experiencing tribulation in losing their lives for Christ. That is not God’s wrath - it’s Satan’s. The time of Daniel’s 70th week will be similar to the empire of Nebuchadnezzar’s. Bow down and worship the image of the beast or be killed. Take the mark or else. This is not God’s wrath as Isaiah tells us that God alone will be exalted in his day of wrath. So no Antichrist strutting around mocking those in heaven. God has not exempted his Church from persecution. Paul tells us in II Thess. 2 what must take place before we are gathered together with Jesus. We have the examples of Noah’s flood and Sodom. Believes taken to safety - then God’s wrath. The last 3.5 yrs (Jesus called the Great Tribulation) will be cut short for the elect’s sake. They likely will be few as only 8 escaped the flood - similar at Sodom. “Be faithful unto death and I will give you the crown of life.” Let the rebukes begin 😁

Isn’t the tribulation supposed to happen first?

That's the question, isn't it?

I don't see the Church mentioned anywhere in Revelation after Chapter three--before the Tribulation starts. Other people view it differently.

Personally, I believe that Scripture makes a better case for pre-Trip rapture than the other two possibilities.

Like I said--it's not a salvation issue, so I won't argue it. I've made my position clear.
