My son-in-law, in Nashville, works as a songwriter and as an attorney in Christian music and for some big name artists. He told me of all the music genres, Christian music is the most cut-throat corrupt there is.
Compared to other genres, the audience is relatively small, therefore it’s...shall we say...very “competitive”. He, himself, has personally experienced it up front and in his face with songs stolen right out from underneath him. Now, IF he even thinks a song, it’s copyrighted right out of the brain.
IMHO, there are a few songs that are anointed and bring forth the message. But yeah, most of em...not so much.
