I once had a friend try a reiki healing on me because she noticed I was suffering. She did her thing, and God healed me, so I told her and thanked her for helping me. She said it wasnt supposed to work that way, that what she had in mind was selling a service over a period of time. God had other plans, and healed me before any such subject could be broached.
I doubt there are many Christians who have not felt moved to flee, especially as this drags on. God also has a sense of humor though, Im thinking I Samuel 5. The Unitarian Church definitely has an unconsecrated ground feel to it, so Im not sure how that is going to shake out.
I too once let a friend, who at the time was on a fast-track to be a Rieki Master, do a session on me. I prayed for this deceived person the whole time. She told me she saw a serpent quickly move away from my left foot.
Bizarre.
