John 4:13-17 (Boasting About Tomorrow) Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
Lord God Almighty, Ruler of Heaven and Earth!
What is happening to this great country You provided for generations of Americans? We are in a state of emergency . . . our government has in its ranks those who have been given over to a self-gratifying, narcissistic personage. Shake us to our senses and shed the Light of Truth on the malevolence thus causing scales to be lifted from the eyes of America’s citizenry. Many churches have lost their First Love, becoming partners in crime with those who would negate Your Holy Word.
We do not know the hour of Your coming but we have been told to watch for the signs and seemingly they are here. We plead the Blood of Jesus for those who are not only indifferent to the Gospel but also leading others astray. Give us our marching orders individually and corporately and please, Father God, provide a hedge of protection from the evil one ready to ensnare those who would expose wicked deeds and intentions.
You sent Your Son to die a grueling death so that we would have the opportunity to be saved from our sins with a promise of eternal life by our repenting and believing in the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of Your Precious Son Jesus. The seriousness of it all and the promised consequences of our choice to believe is hampered by the frivolity of the hour. Please give us the ability to stand for Your Kingdom in this era of purposeful misguidance. How far we have fallen as a nation.
Please continue Heavenly Father to hold our President and his administration and family under Your charge . We pray that President Trump will continue to openly acknowledge Your Sovereignty.
We ask for protection and blessings for Christians who are standing for Righteousness. Please instill within parents the duty they have to bring their children up in Your admonition. It is so heartbreaking to acknowledge that many children only know Your Name attached to profanity. Your expectations from all of us are to lead a life pleasing in Your site. We know this world is not our home and life is but a vapor. . .help us make our lives count for Your Kingdom.
We pray that our light will so shine that the world will see Your mighty works and glorify You.
We also petition prayers of encouragement and protection for our military, defenders of freedom, missionaries, those who are in bondage including self-inflicted and those persecuted for the cause of Christ. May we as a nation unfailingly continue to support Your favored nation Israel and her people around the world.
We love You Lord. . .we Praise Your Holy Name . . . Nothing escapes Your Watchful Eye . . .Help us to be dutiful to the cause of Christ. Provide us all the ability to carry out our God-given missionary opportunities.

In freedom and truth, we may openly worship You.

This verse stuck out to me as I thought about our current predicament of this dishonest impeachment try.
The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
