It was to be expected. Osteen’s entertainment evangelism now has a real entertainer on stage. It’s going to be a challenge to top Kanye.

One of the recurring instructions in God’s Word is to be humble. Humility is greatly prized by God because man’s prideful attitude leads to sin and self-idolatry.

Kanye could have been making a joke, too. So what? I’m praying for him because he is speaking to people I’ll NEVER get a chance to interact with. As a former worship leader, I’ve always said music speaks to a different part of our brains and souls and that Christian music transcends denominational walls. I say, bring it on ! God will lead and teach Kanye as He sees fit.

I'm okay with the word "Superstar" if it helps to get the message across. I'm okay with the apparent arrogance of Kanye if the purpose is to draw attention to scripture and spread God's word. If God has chosen to use a man who presents himself pridefully, who am I to argue? Didn't the Apostle John refer to himself as "the disciple Jesus loved"?

If Kanye feels called to spread God's word and he chooses to draw attention to that message in this way, perhaps even using President Trump as a model of what works today, I'll happily pray for his success. I'm also hoping that parts of what we see are showmanship to draw attention to his message rather than the message itself. I expect surprises along the way, and this could be one of many surprises. We already know who wins this centuries-long battle between good and evil, just not the details on the path from here to there.

What West says and whats in his heart and mind are between him and God.

We now have a mainstream hip hop artist that is for the first time teaching black people that they can be individuals and think for themselves! He is teaching them that Jesus and Christianity are the way to success and happiness in life instead of money, drugs and whores. So while his comment may be a little disappointing, he is 10000% better than all other hip hop artists combined.
