In 2002 the American Catholic Bishops instituted a program to combat sexual abuse. Any credible complaint must be reported to law enforcement authorities. As the whole the program has worked well and sexual abuse has declined tremendously.
The alleged abuse in this case came well before that. If this priest is guilty, I hope he is convicted.
