How grateful we are, Father, for Jesus—Jesus the Word. Those of us gathered together today have acknowledged the Lordship of Jesus, the Word. By Your grace and mercy You have called us and revealed to us that You are the source of all wisdom and direction for a successful life. We grieve for those who do not honor You. We see the fruit of their dishonor in the way they appear to think and behave—“things that should never be done”.
HOWEVER, we are never without hope in the greatness of our God. There is always a “But God...” at the end of an evil report. Of course, Sir, we know that not all will choose life and come to the knowledge of the Truth, but we also know Your will. We are here in faith for our family members, those in authority and fellow citizens to have the eyes of their understanding enlightened by Your Spirit. We have mountain-moving faith that laborers are being sent by You into the harvest. We believe Your Word that says “‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy.” Jesus has overcome sin and death!
Glory to our God! Hallelujah to the One who saves! Amen.

Continuing to lift up: the victims and witnesses of the shooting in Gilroy, CA and all who have been affected by such violence. That the LORD bring healing and lasting peace to our communities.
Bringing before the LORD: the awful statistics regarding declining life expectancy in our nation, largely due to opioid abuse, suicide, and alcoholism. I pray God restore a sense of purpose in the lives of those who feel lost and alone. I pray God revive churches in communities that are in sore need of a fresh spiritual start. That passionate preachers and ministers be sent to even the most remote and neglected rural communities. That pews be filled again. That testimonies of genuine salvation and new birth replace all the tragic headlines about lives cut too short. That spiritual revival corrrespond to social and economic revitalization!
That the grip the enemy has on this nation be permanently loosened in the name of Jesus.
That the LORD raise up new, godly and visionary leaders to represent derelict cities like Baltimore and Detroit in the spirit of service.
I acknowledge the sovereignty of the LORD in determining the Democrat nominees for Pres/VP in 2020 and that He orchestrate every single development leading up to the election in Trump/Pence’s favor.

I echo the praises and the petitions offered here today. Lord, may this be a time that the number of those who love You would be multiplied. May this be a time of awakening, that this nation would refuse to experiment with socialism. May President Trump restore this Constitutional Republic.
