There is arguably no more influential place in the world than Hollywood. It is the driving force of American culture, and it provides the conduit by which people the world over understand and view America....And the conduit by which Americans view and understand the world, even if they never physically venture beyond their hometown.
For the people of repressed societies, the sights and sounds of American film and television provide their first tastes of freedom. Even Iraqi and North Korean dictators have been known to curate their own well-stocked American movie collections.
From the time we are children, movies shape our imaginations, provide our common language, and define our frames of reference. They are our bridge with non-believers. And even among the body of Christ, for better or worse (mostly the latter) - more time is spent consuming such media than in the ancient pastime of reading and engaging with the Scriptures.
The magic and allure of Hollywood embody the American Dream. (As actor Ronald Reagan would have surely attested!) But at the moment, it seems to embody the American Nightmare - threatening to viciously rip our society apart by the roots and seams. And trying to tear down our President!
My prayer today is that rather than pronounce judgment on the situation, we thank God for the power of cinema and the blessing He has given America to be the primary driver of culture the world over. That we praise God for the creative gifts and talents He has instilled in so many of His children --including those who do not acknowledge Him as Lord. That we rebuke and cast out Satan and all his demons seeking to steal souls by misdirecting man's God-given capacity for creativity. Just as he did in Eden. Just as he did to himself - Lucifer, when he was thrown out of the angelic choir.

Amen to your Spirit filled prayer
Lord, we lift up those in the entertainment industry who stand for Your Word and for decency, conservative values and for our beloved President. Lord we ask for their blessings and protection, that they may have more opportunity and tools to extend Your light.
Father God, we also lift up those in the entertainment industry who are lost. Oh Father, if it is Your will, pull them away from the depths of corruption and sin, break the chains that bind them to darkness, and may they no longer seek destruction.
Dear Lord, as a nation, may we seek discernment, that we would not strive to be the new Babylon, that we would be offended and no longer support that which is wicked. May we prepare ourselves to receive the sweet living water. May we not surrender the culture war. As a nation, may we once again be dedicated to You and to live according to Your divine precepts.
we ask these things in the name of Jesus
FATHER GOD, instill in us the authority we have in JESUS CHRIST. By His Name everything must bow. Help us to correctly explain the WORD OF TRUTH to those around us. May the SPIRIT convict and transform lives as they know the TRUTH. In JESUS' Name we pray. AMEN.
