Thinking of our Government, we pray along with Habakkuk:
“THE BURDEN or oracle (the thing to be lifted up) which Habakkuk the prophet saw. O Lord, how long shall I cry for help and You will not hear? Or cry out to You of violence and You will not save? Why do You show me iniquity and wrong, and Yourself look upon or cause me to see perverseness and trouble? For destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is slackened and justice and a righteous sentence never go forth, for the [hostility of the] wicked surrounds the [uncompromisingly] righteous; therefore justice goes forth perverted.” Habakkuk 1:1-4 AMPC.

We agree with our brethren around the country in praying along with the Presidential Prayer Team:
• For President Trump and his decision on signing the stopgap spending bill.
We pray for wisdom and favor for our President concerning this stopgap spending bill. May he hear only Your voice and have faith that what You direct him to do You will support.
• For a time of restoration and enjoyment of family and friends for President and First Lady Trump while in Florida.
Father, may there be a time of restoration of relationships--first of all with You and then for each other and of their physical bodies. May this time of refreshment bring a clarity to their assignments and Your direction over the entire sphere of influence You have given them.
• That Jesus Christ might become more real to the president and his family because of the Christmas season.

Prayers please for our little town who for years have had a nativity on court house yard (with other signs of the season). Someone driving through has decided to cause trouble by reporting it to some left wing group who prides itself in removing religious items. We are taking a stand! NO! It’s not going to be removed
