The ultimate answer to this controversy is yes, its a satanic celebration but you cant worship something if its not your intent to do so.
Most, or perhaps many, dont know its a satanic celebration, they think its just about candy, friends and family. So the original celebration seems to have lost. I dont celebrate it because I know what it is. Once you know this as a Christian, you wont want to either.
Anyway, we know who loses in the end.
agree with you reasonisfaith,
It’s about revelation and what each person has been shown by God. WE are all made in His image, but each going thru different things and each given unique mind - so - it would seem some of us have had revelation about not being involved with scary movies, day of the dead, witch, satanic type things in this time of year and some either have not had revelation because God has them dealing with other parts of His plan for get out the Word, or some have had revelation and renewed mnd and able to be in and around those still caught in the ungodly part of some thing.
Just as some are called to go to porn conventions but have booths spreading Gospel message or helping the women caught up in it, undercover detectives who have to live lies etc to try to catch bad people.
It’s all about your intention. Some people thinki about their intention for doing some thing, but most of the world just does things without giving much thought.
I’m a Christian.
Faith in Christ is a lot different than knocking on doors to see your neighbors and eat candy. Show off your cool costume and show off your candy haul.
The devil has no play. It actually brings neighbors together with their kids for a fun night, most likely the people you see in church on Sunday.
My brother became ultra religious and basically shunned any holidays, especially Christmas. Buzz killed Christmas for any celebrations together with the family. Hurt my dearly departed mom and dad very badly.
You do your own thing but realize not everyone agrees with you.
