I don’t know that many devout Catholics any more, but even the cafeteria Catholics I know are appalled/angry/disgusted by/at/by Frankie.

Let the be angry and appalled.
But it might behoove them to examine themselves and the course the flock has taken before they go throwing too much, no, before they throw ANY blame for this on the hierarchy.
