Pentecost is the only Feast day which was looked upon by Jewish teachers as a “mystery” Feast, a Feast which was identified with a time of Gentile redemption. In fact, we shall see that the apostle Paul uses terminology pointing to the Feast of Pentecost and to the Offering at Pentecost in regards to the future resurrection of the Church. We also discover that this is the only Feast on Israel’s liturgical calendar which could typify the Rapture of the Church and at the very same time not be subject to the error of “date setting” in terms of its prophetic fulfillment.

constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine

There is no doubt that we are in the season. A Pentecost to Pentecost Church Age has a certain appeal, the key event will be when “they are saying peace and security”. President Trump is getting there, but it might be Fall before he gets there.

There are many who will rip
one verse out of context
and think that they have all the answers,
failing to read all of scripture,
comparing word against word,
verse against verse.

There are others who will read
17th cent. English or 21st cent.
English, failing to remember that
the words were written by 1st cent.
Jews in the custom of 1st cent
Jews writing to 1st cent. Jews and
1st cent. Pagans in Koine Greek.

There are others who remain blind to
YHvH's Appointed Times.
two of which occur on times and dates
unknown.

They are Shavuot & Yom Teruah.

The two-day Feast of Pentecost arrives in just a few days, June 11-13, 2017. It offers a remarkable shadow and type of the Rapture of the Church in so many different ways. The Church of course was birthed on a Pentecost. The Jewish people believe that Pentecost is the day the fruit of the trees is judged! King David was born and died on Pentecost. According to tradition, Enoch was born and then raptured on Pentecost! The Law was given at Mt Sinai on Pentecost and 3,000 people died. Peter preached the Gospel on Pentecost and 3,000 people were saved! It’s no coincidence—a perfect picture of Law and Grace! Gary and Bob discuss this important day on God’s calendar and wonder—will the Church be raptured on a future Pentecost?

We certainly should be looking up on days of Pentecost, as it would be a good day to be raptured!

Last time I tried to set a date, I was wrong. So I am preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and looking for “them” to be saying ‘Peace and Security’.

We can’t set a date, but we sure are responsible to know the times and what they mean.
