Why the yelling about yelling? Of course you did not yell (fire!), but neither did God, and thus the question is why would you react to one of the many many commands under the Law by characterizing it as "yelling," and make that the contrast btwn voluntarily choosing to fast?

Why is this so seemingly objectionable to you? Did not the Lord Jesus fast Himself and require self denial (and never commands feasting, except as the Lord's supper), and foretell that His disciples would?

My flesh does not like to fast myself, but what I see Scripture teaching should not be determined by what I like or dislike.
