As I also pointed out on Google+, Illustração Portugueza was a weekly magazine edited by O Seculo, the paper of record in Lisbon at the time. Those, therefore, who doubt the authenticity of the Miracle need only ask themselves why a newspaper vetted by the Communist Party in Portugal would admit that the event was witnessed by at least 30,000-40,000 people.
